Entry: R&B salad Jan 24, 2007

T Pain's new single may be Snappin' (Featuring Yung Joc), Buy You  A Drink or Froze (Featuring Akon and produced by Lil' Jon) His second album R&M: Rhythm & Music is expected to come out in March.
I read that Froze is the first track he doesen't use the vocoder, and I can't wait to hear what his voice sounds like without an effect, cus his album was full of them he he.
His debut album was not the best. I'm Sprung was a good track, and I'm In Love was okay, the rest of the album was original but it lacked the catchiness. He should try working with some producers outside the Konvict Camp. I don't think Lil' Jon is the best choice though, some Scott Storch and Raphael Saadiq wouldn't hurt!

It is official! Paula DeAnda's third single is the Danja produced song Easy. The track is amazing, very very catchy and it features Lil' Wayne (whose verse is on fire). I see this song doing very good in the charts, and hopefully it will help her to push sales. So far, the album has sold 120.000 copies since its' release.
Go everybody and cop that album, it's amazing. You have everything, from ballads and mid-tempos to bangas, hot producers (Stargate, Happy Perez, Frankie J), talented writers (Sean Garett, Ne-Yo, Christina Milian) & great collabos (Baby Bash, Ak' Sent).

Kelis seems to be suffering from multi-single releases. Not so long ago, her second U.S. single (which flopped) Blindfold Me was released. In Europe, Lil' Star is scheduled to be released as the second single in February, the video is already on MTV. It's a nice video, simplish and with not so much production but it's ok!
And now, some sources confirm that the Scott Storch produced song Trilogy will be the third single in the Usa. The song is amazing, but I feel that she's not the right singer to sing it. She is better at other kind of songs. Anyways, the story doesen't end here cus I also read that the Cool&Dre produced Goodbyes is supposed to follow Blindfold Me in the Usa, so it's a mess he he!
It's really a shame that Kelis Was Here flopped in the Usa cus even though it's not as good as any of her previous albums, (I know I said it a zillion times) it's innovative and has everything for everybody!

R&B supastar Ginuwine is coming back in February with his sophomore album I Apologize (horrid title). He's no longer signed to Epic Records and is now with Sicness.
That album deserves to be checked, his last album Back 2 Basics was hot (even though a lot of people hated it) but it was such a flop!

01 Intro
02 Can't Deny
03 I Apologize
04 Stutter
05 My Mind
06 Why?
07 Happy At Home Featuring I-Rocc
08 Like Me Featuring Loon & G-Dep
09 Twerk
10 I Apologize Featuring Smigg Dirtee
11 Outro

The cover is okay I suppose, can't really comment on the tracklisting, only 11 tracks (including intro and outro) but I dunno why it doesen't look like the final tracklisting.

Another artists signed to Sicness records (through Mike City's label Umbrella) is Tweet. She's hard at work finishing her third album, which containt productions from...guess who...Mike City (Shanice, Sunshine Anderson), he he. I know you were all expecting Missy! But...this time around she's not involved in the project. Thank god cus her chemistry with Tweet only worked for her debut Southern Hummingbird, her last album was pretty weak and it flopped badly! (the song Cab Ride was excellent thou) I really don't know who is she working with (apart from City) but I'd be so happy to hear Timbaland on it, he did an amazing job in 2002 when he produced Call Me, that was my jam, loved the southern vibe and her debut album was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G

Yesterday Sunshine Anderson's second album Sunshine At Midnight was released! My god! She took nothing but 6 years to come back! Can't wait to hear this album, if someone can send it to me it'd be great! She has Dr. DreRaphael Saadiq and Mike City on there.
Yesterday I read an interview in which she explained the situation with her ex-label Soulife.
After her deal with Soulife was over, she signed with Atlantic (it wasn't hard cus she had sold around 800.000 copies). While she was working on her second album, it started the trouble with Atlantic Records (a lot of artists got lost like Tamia) and she was told to wait 1 year for the release of the second album, she didin't agree, left and became a free agent again. And well, she ended up in Mathew Knowles' label, but she says it was hard to get a new deal cus after leaving Atlantic nobody was interested in her cus she'd been away for a long time.
Extra: Macy Gray is not longer her manager!

Lil' Mo Is back ya'll! and more than ready to release her third album There's Something About Me in March (love the cover)
After a third shelved album on Cash Money (Syndicated: the Lil' Mo Hour), the singer signed with Mike Jones' Ice Age Entertainment (which is rumored to be home to Nicole Wray too) and recorded the new album.
Producers chosen for this project include Stargate, Sean Garett, Jazze Pha, Ne-Yo and collaborations with Melody (of the PCD), D4L and Mike Jones.
I'm so anticipating this release, even though I only have her first album, I can say she is amazing! Based On A True Story is such a good album!
Extra: She didn't collaborate with Fabolous for this project...that's really strange he he.

Well, this is all for today. I'm going to a shop in 10 minutes (I'm sitting on the job now he he) cus I saw 3 imported R&B albums at a VERY low prize...Ray J (This Ain't A Game), Allure (Sunny Days) and Estelle (The 18th Day).
Tomorrow or later I'll tell you If I liked them or not.

And...very soon:
Omarion's album review
New Interviews (I won't tell you now, if you want to know who I interviewed check this blog everyday he he)
Album downloads

Enjoy
